The Enterprise Autism Social Group is having a special needs event on Dec. 14 at the Perry Recreation Center in Ozark. There will be a sensory-friendly Santa, a play area, crafts and games. Meadowlawn Memorial Park will host a Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 14. The public is invited to place a fresh Remembrance Wreath in honor of our country’s heroes that rest there. The Enterprise Senior Citizens Center is for anyone 60 years of age or older. There is no fee to participate in the senior center program but donations are welcomed. Congregate lunches are served at the center and home-bound meals are delivered to eligible clients. Art classes are offered every Tuesday from 8 until 10 a.m., and 10 a.m. until noon. Sewing classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until noon. Additional services include nutrition education, public education, legal assistance, telephone reassurance, information assistance and various programs through community service organizations. Day trips, organized special events and an evening once or twice a month for members to eat at a favorite restaurant are planned. The cost for trips and special events are the responsibility of the individual person who signs up to participate. Transportation services are provided to members that are unable to drive or do not have transportation within the city limits only. Members are brought to the center and returned home after lunch.
