Coffee County EMA

According to a news release from Coffee County EMA, a number of roads are closed due to downed trees and power lines stemming from the severe storms that occurred in the area on April 19.

Coffee County Road 147 north of County Road 149 is closed along with County Road 105 between County Road 114 and County Road 107. Also, County Road 206 – 1/4 of a mile west of the County Road 205 intersection – is still closed.

A lane on County Road 200 – just south of County Road 204 – is also blocked due to a tree wrapped around a power line. South Alabama Power Co-op has been contacted to assist with these issues.

There also remains a number of power outages in the area, including 600 Covington Electric customers and more than 1,400 South Alabama Electric customers. There were also still a limited amount of Alabama Power customers without power as of 3:26 p.m. Monday.
