Medical Center Enterprise, in an effort to ensure transparency and accurate information on COVID-19 testing, will be releasing information regarding testing and statistics through the Coffee County Emergency Management Agency.

The numbers listed are for MCE only and do not include tests performed by the Alabama Department of Public Health, private practices or for-profit agencies.

As of the morning of April 23, MCE has tested a total of 92 patients with six pending tests and six total confirmed cases of COVID-19.

“We encourage all individuals showing symptoms of COVID-19 to seek the advice of their personal physician before seeking testing,” Coffee County EMA Director James Brown said in a statement. “If they do not have a personal physician please call MCE before showing up at the hospital.”

Testing numbers from MCE will be updated as they are released.
