Daleville City Council sworn in to office

The new Daleville City Council was sworn into office at an organizational meeting held at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center Monday, Nov. 2. Socially distanced and masked, family and friends gathered to see Thirty Third Judicial Circuit Presiding Circuit Judge Bill Filmore swear in the council and second term mayor. From left are Councilwomen Katheryne Horace and Jo Reese, Mayor Jayme Stayton, and Councilmen Jimmy Monk, Alan Souders and Kevin Turley. Horace was elected by the council to serve as mayor pro tem and Monk was appointed to serve on the Daleville Water Works Board.
