Runoff elections are set for Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the cities of Enterprise and Level Plains.
Election polls in Enterprise will be open at the Jug Brown Recreation Center on East Lee Street from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Enterprise Mayor William “Bill” Cooper and businessman Bill Baker are in a runoff for the mayoral seat in Enterprise.
A runoff election is also set for the Enterprise City Council District 3 seat. Les Hogan faces Greg Padgett for the seat being vacated by Enterprise City Council President Perry Vickers.
Officials have made several adjustments to help make the voting process easier and more comfortable for voters. An additional exit to better accommodate the flow of people into and out of the building has been added.
Handicapped parking will be located in front of the Rec Center, and some regular parking is available in the front area near Cutts Restaurant. Overflow parking is designated in the parking lot at nearby Moose Hope Gymnasium. Golf carts will be available to shuttle people who may need assistance getting from the gym parking lot to the Rec Center.
Voters from all districts may participate in the mayoral runoff. Lines will be set up for all five voting districts and a registration table in a designated area will have election officials available to help voters determine what district they live and vote in if they do not already know.
In Level Plains, the election polls at the Community Center will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
For Level Plains City Council Place 2, there is a runoff between Thomas Bury and Frank Carbone.
The newly elected officials in each municipality will take office Nov. 2.
