The Dale County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for information about a woman found dead in the Woodham’s Bridge area in Dale County.
DCSO Chief Deputy Mason Bynum said that the unidentified female was found in the 8000 block of South County Road 20 June 3 after law officers responded to a call at about 1:30 p.m. reporting “a suspicious circumstance.
“Upon arrival we located an unidentified female who appeared to be in the advanced stages of decomposition,” Bynum said. “Due to the conditions at the scene we requested assistance from Dothan Police Department’s Crime Scene Technicians as well as the FBI.”Â
Bynum said the body has been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for a cause of death determination as well as identification.Â
“We ask the public to contact us if they saw a female in the area of Woodham’s Bridge within the last few weeks or if you have any information that may help us in the identification of the deceased,” he added.
Those with information are asked to contact the DCSO at (334) 774-2335 or leave a crime tip at www.daleso.com.
