The Wiregrass Chapter Sons of the American Revolution recently recognized Dr. Sam Sawyer, left, for outstanding public service to the community during the Wiregrass Chapter SAR and John Coffee Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Week Awards Luncheon held at the Enterprise First United Methodist Church. Chapter President Perry Vickers, right, presented Sawyer the SAR Good Citizenship medal “in recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities and his long and valued service to the citizens of Enterprise and to the Wiregrass area of Alabama, thus exemplifying the high ideals and principals which motivated and sustained our patriot ancestors.”
