Daleville City Council Member Marvin Wise has been arrested for possession of child pornography, according to Police Chief William "Willy" Powell.
Wise, 61, of Daleville, was previously arrested on Oct. 18 on several child sex charges, including second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy, enticing a child and two degrees of sexual abuse.
Wise's second arrest occurred on Monday, Nov. 6.
Wise has been out of jail since Oct. 19 on a $60,000 bond associated with his previous charges. Conditions of his release are that he has no contact with the victim, and he must reside in the Level Plains area.
His preliminary hearing for these charges was continued to early December.
Wise has served on the city council since 2015. He is still considered an acting city council member unless he is found guilty or resigns from the position.
Wise serves as a member of the Daleville Water and Sewer Board. He has also served as a past president for IAM Local Lodge 2003 from 2013 to December 2015, according to the organization's website.
Wise has also served as chief inspector over Daleville voting polls for a number of years.
