The Daleville boys basketball team won first place in the Red Level Christmas Tournament when it beat Luverne 70-63 Saturday night.
The Warhawks trailed 16-12 at the end of the first quarter, but outscored Luverne 23-17 in the second to take a 35-33 lead at the half. Daleville led 53-45 at the end of the third quarter.
Robert McGirt led the Hawks with 25 points, and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. Jacques Coleman added 14, and was also named to the All-Tournament team. Aaron Cope had nine points and six rebounds. Cope was named the tournament's MVP.
Daleville faces Geneva at home Jan. 4. Games are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
