The Dothan Police Department has arrested a shooting suspect who had fled to Daleville on Feb. 22, according to a Dothan Police Department press release.
In the earlier morning of hours on Feb. 22, DPD responded to a shooting in the Grand Villa Estates and found that a female victim had been shot once in the chest, according to the release.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, according to the release.
During the investigation, the name Nathaniel Overton was given to officers who later obtained information that Overton had fled to Daleville, according to the release.
After contacting the Daleville Police Department, Daleville officers were able to go to where Overton was staying and arrest him without incident, according to the release.
Overton, 35, was arrested and charged with first degree domestic violence and held on a $60,000 bond.
Overton bonded out on Feb. 24.
The victim was treated and is in stable condition.
The Dothan Police Department thanked the Daleville Police Department for helping apprehend Overton.
