Cincere Flowers (2) signed Feb. 22 to play football for Mississippi College.

Enterprise's Cincere Flowers has found his college football home.

The EHS senior signed Feb. 22 to play at Mississippi College.

"It's a blessing  to be in the position to play at the next level, because everybody (doesn't) get that opportunity," Flowers said.

After a lengthy process, Flowers found a fit a Mississippi College, where he believes he can compete early.

"I chose the Choctaws because everything went great on my visit," he said. (It is a) great school all in all, and the coaches showed a lot of love. They really felt like I could come make a impact as a freshman."

A standout at wide receiver and at quarterback in short-yardage situations, Flowers made an impact for Enterprise last season.

He caught 38 passes for 537 yards and four touchdowns last year. He also had 29 rushes, 45 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground.

The 5-foot, 9-inch, 175-pound receiver was on the radar of different schools throughout his recruitment process, and he said he's glad to have settled on Mississippi College.

"The recruiting process was very stressful," Flowers said. "I had a lot of teams that wanted me, but never pulled the trigger. It was just up and down, and i'm just glad I have somewhere to actually play now."

Football is not the only facet of college on which Flowers will focus.

"As far as the classroom, I understand I have to be a student first," Flowers said. "In order to do great things on the field it's a must I get my grades so I can perform, but when I do get on the field I want to be one of the top receivers in the (Gulf South) Conference."

Flowers looks to contribute in the college ranks, but has relished his time at Enterprise.

"Playing for EHS and being a Wildcat these past years means the world to me," he said. "The support system this city has for EHS is amazing, and I'm glad I was a part of it. I have much love for this city, and I will never forget where I came from."
