The New Brockton boys basketball team lost 76-58 Jan. 13 against Charles Henderson after a fast start sent the Trojans to victory.
Charles Henderson raced to an 18-5 lead before DT Adams drained a 3, but the Trojans went on another run after the shot.
They finished the first quarter on a 14-2 run and led 32-10 when the second quarter started.
Adams made the first bucket of the second frame, which started an 8-1 NBHS run and cut Charles Henderson's lead to 33-18.
The Trojans then went on an 11-3 run to take a 44-21 lead before Isaiah Donaldson scored four consecutive points for New Brockton.
Each team made another basket late in the second, and the Trojans led 46-27 at the half.
New Brockton pulled to within 15 at 50-35 early in the third, but the Trojans exploded for a 15-1 run.
Adams ended the streak with a bucket and later hit a 3 to cut the Gamecocks' deficit to 68-41 at the end of the third quarter.
NBHS outscored the Trojans 17-8 in the final frame, but Charles Henderson's lead proved too much for the Gamecocks to overcome.
Adams led New Brockton with 25 points. Max Weeks followed with 11, and Donaldson added nine.
