The Enterprise boys tennis team lost 6-3 Feb. 23 in a hard-fought match against Huntsville.
Jarrett Grubb and Gage Anderson earned sweeps in the first two singles spots.
"Grubb and Anderson played lights out at one and two singles, and picked up a big win at (No. 1) doubles for us as well," EHS boys tennis coach Stephen Phillips said. "The guys were disappointed with the loss, and we have some areas where we need to improve, but there were some positive takeaways as well."
Bailey Ragan, Evan Pruett, Carson Christian and Mitchell Carr all lost their singles matches, though two went to tiebreakers.
"Pruett and Christian both lost lopsided first sets and fought back to win the second," Phillips said. "They came up short in tiebreakers, but showed tremendous resiliency and never gave up. That's something we can build on."
Grubb and Anderson played to a win at No. 1 doubles for the Cats' remaining point.
Pruett and Ragan lost at No. 2, and the No. 3 team of Carr and Christian was also defeated.
Enterprise's girls and boys teams are scheduled to play Feb. 24 in the Dothan Shootout at Westgate Tennis Center.
