Former Level Plains Police Chief Billy Driggers submitted his resignation effective Oct. 16, according to a media release from the city.

Level Plains Mayor Bruce Grantham and the city council accepted Driggers’ resignation and ended his employment with the city.

Police operations will continue as normal. Julian Alvarado will continue to be acting police chief, and the city will soon make preparations to hire a new chief of police.
