The Enterprise Police Department is investigating two "criminal acts" that both ended in a wreck and are possibly connected.

According to Public Information Officer Michael Moore, officers received a call of a stolen vehicle. As officers responded to this call, a second call for a burglary in progress was dispatched, Moore said.

The victim of the stolen vehicle, according to Moore, followed the vehicle until the suspect wrecked at the corner of Wren Street and Rucker Boulevard. The driver fled the scene and was later caught by law enforcement.

Around the same time as the crash involving the stolen vehicle, officers made contact with the burglary suspects and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Moore said.

The driver refused to stop and fled on Rucker Boulevard, Moore said. The burglary suspects' vehicle struck another vehicle near the wreck of the stolen vehicle, Moore said.

According to Moore, two occupants of the burglary suspects' vehicle and the driver of the struck vehicle were transported to a local hospital for injuries.

Moore said both wrecks occurred within 100 yards of each other. The two criminal acts that led to the pursuits are believed to be connected, he said.

According to Moore, the investigation is still ongoing by Enterprise Police Criminal Investigations Division and charges are pending.
