The Daleville boys basketball team won its first area game of the season in a 74-30 win against Geneva on Friday, Jan. 4.
The Warhawks had a fast start in the game going up 11-0 before the Panthers found the net. Daleville closed out the first quarter leading 28-7.
Daleville outscored Geneva 25- 7 in the second quarter, taking the lead to 53-14 at halftime.
The Warhawks furthered their lead in the third quarter to 71-20. Geneva outscored Daleville 10-3 in the final quarter, but Daleville went away with the win.
Jacques Coleman led the team with 16 points. Robert McGirt followed with 15 points and T.J. Lorick had 9.
Daleville continues area play when the team travels to Dale County on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.
